Two quick charge connections USB A and USB CThe right side of the housing comes with two USB connections type USB 3.1 Type A and USB 3.1 Type C, which are compliant with the quick charging standards QC 3.0 and QC 4.0 (QC = quick charge). The activity of the charging box is displayed via a blue LED control light which is situated very visibly above the two USB ports. The charging box is designed to be protected against spray. The ports can be covered with moulded elastomer covers when not in use, which seals and thus protects them against spray and dust. More than just a charging box! The centrally positioned screw thread accommodates our SP Connect Anti Vibration Module, which forms part of this set. The Anti Vibration Module is the innovative answer to increasingly sensitive new smartphones. These consist of sensitive components that can be affected by continuous vibrations from the engine and suspension. The Anti Vibration Module reduces these vibrations by up to 60% thanks to the effective dampening provided by the specially developed elastomer inlay. When screwed in, the module can be used for accommodating smartphones. The model-specific SP Connect smartphone case that matches your smartphone (45150-xxx) is also required here. The front of our charging box is also equipped with four screws. These are precisely positioned so that they match the standard-compliant bore profile of a range of attachment systems, such as that of the Garmin Zumo XT navigation device. This also lets you screw the attachment systems onto the charging box in just a few steps securely and with minimal use of space, and connect the devices to the power supply. Sustainability without compromises – Wunderlich BLAUIn crafting the charging box, we use a hybrid material made of recycled plastics which we then reinforce with 20% glass fibres. The charging box is characterised by its low component weight and the high solidity of the casing. In this way, we help the environment and make no compromises when it comes to component stability. BMW – Brake Lever “Variolever” : A revolution in ergonomics, usability, safety and exclusivity: We have developed brake and clutch levers with adjustable lever length and reach that can be optimally adjusted to match your individual needs. Simply loosen the fixing screw and the lever length can be changed to suit your personal requirements. Very effective brake it would be ideal to have better feel with less applied force, i.e. reduced lever length. TheVarioLever makes it possible to brake using only two or three fingers without pinching the other fingers. An enormous relief for street, touring or racing applications. This also applies to the clutch lever. Of course, when the lever is completely extended (roughly corresponding to the length of the original lever) it is possible to brake with all four fingers again. Another innovation is the easy adjustability of the lever reach, which can easily be applied whilst riding – important to compensate for brake fade (e.g. at high load, fast mountain bends). In addition, the reach can be changed to bring the lever closer to the handlebar, making it easier to reach. This is made possible by a large rotating adjuster that can easily be operated even when wearing thick gloves. The extraordinarily intricate construction is also extremely robust: Even when the lever is fully extended, forces of more than 60 kg/132 lb can be transmitted without difficulty at the outer tip. The modular construction opens up a whole range of colour combination options. We’ve selected what we consider the most attractive colour combinations. As our tests have shown, the foot protector effectively channels the water splashed backwards by the front wheel away from the feet. To minimise the size without restricting the cornering clearance and off-road mobility, the protectors were designed with consistently optimised flow characteristics. Wind and even large amounts of water are diverted as quickly as possible. Steering Stop : Unfortunately, the original steering stops are simply not strong enough. They can be damaged by harmless falls or a strong knock. If this happens, the top yoke (upper clamp) can be damaged, and the fork tubes and Telelever are vulnerable as well. Additionally, on the 1150 models the brake lines could be squashed causing brake failure. All this can lead to expensive repairs and a great deal of aggravation. We have opted for a new approach with the R Series GS, here‘s how it works: the protector brackets bolt onto the lower fork bridge pinch bolts, the top bumpers contact the Telelever just before the original steering stop would make contact. This softens the blow, and, as the rubber bumper compresses, it progressively becomes a solid stop for the forks. BMW R1250GS/GSA Protection – Valve & Cylinder Cover “EXTREME” : The cylinders on a Boxer BMW are exposed. Stone strikes, falls on terrain or when scraping a plastered wall as you manoeuvre in tight spaces make it easy to scratch the valve cover. On the 1250s shift cam engines there’s also the issue that the construction of the shift cam mechanism is extremely elaborate. Since the valve covers are mounted solely using force locking, there is a risk that the valve cover can be displaced relative to the cylinder head after any violent impact and the elaborate valve drive can be pulled along with it in certain instances. This is why the additional protection of the valve cover is of particular importance. We have developed a set of well-designed protectors for this. These are characterised by the fact that they sit on the valve cover with narrow gap dimensions and accurately fit the contour. This requires precision manufacturing. The protector consists of impact-resistant, durable plastic. On the inside which faces the valve cover, we have constructively integrated segments with an elastic material that is resistant to high temperatures. These segments are dimensioned to be impact-absorbing in terms of Shore hardness*). When impacted by exterior forces, their equally supportive and protective effective ensures that these are absorbed and distributed equally across the segments and force spikes are thus avoided. The high-quality design and the function of the protectors is rounded off by an inset stainless steel insert. In the worst case scenario, it protects against grinding of the valve cover and thus avoids the inevitably associated loss of oil. The protectors thus contribute to avoiding secondary damage. In many instances, they let you carry on riding after the mishap. The assembly kit provided makes assembly easy. Our valve protectors are Made in Germany.
