BMW K 1300R Ergonomics – Brake Lever “Variolever” : A revolution in ergonomics, usability, safety and exclusivity: We have developed brake and clutch levers with adjustable lever length and reach that can be optimally adjusted to match your individual needs. Simply loosen the fixing screw and the lever length can be changed to suit your personal requirements. For the K 1300R model with the very effective brake it would be ideal to have better feel with less applied force, i.e. reduced lever length. TheVarioLever makes it possible to brake using only two or three fingers without pinching the other fingers. An enormous relief for street, touring or racing applications. This also applies to the clutch lever. Of course, when the lever is completely extended (roughly corresponding to the length of the original lever) it is possible to brake with all four fingers again. Another innovation is the easy adjustability of the lever reach, which can easily be applied whilst riding – important to compensate for brake fade (e.g. at high load, fast mountain bends). In addition, the reach can be changed to bring the lever closer to the handlebar, making it easier to reach. This is made possible by a large rotating adjuster that can easily be operated even when wearing thick gloves. The extraordinarily intricate construction is also extremely robust: Even when the lever is fully extended, forces of more than 60 kg/132 lb can be transmitted without difficulty at the outer tip. The modular construction opens up a whole range of colour combination options. We’ve selected what we consider the most attractive colour combinations. If your boot is resting too far towards the edge of the footrest, you have to bend it awkwardly to reach the brake. With this lever enlarger installed, a wet boot slipping off the lever tip or treading on thin air belong in the past. The extension means that it is almost impossible for the foot to slip off or to miss the lever altogether. The GT is also enriched by the addition of another highlight. The enlargement is machined/turned to fit accurately on the original brake lever and is either bolted to the underside using a counter piece or fitted over the lever and secured using a fixing screw. The eightfold adjustment option of a full 360° ensures enormous flexibility. This win for comfort is available for rider and passenger. For sporty riders, we also offer the rests in a bevelled design. The delivery always comes with German Type approval. All parts are made from high-solidity aluminium and anodises in silver or black. The Vario joint, the Vario adapter and the desired footrest for each side are all required for complete assembly. The base of the system is the silver or black Vario joint that matches the corresponding vehicle model, with the joint being mounted on the footrest bracket in place of the footrest. A Vario adapter is mounted on this, the adapter is also available in silver or black and is available in lengths of 23 mm (item no. 25912-000 in silver, 25912-002 in black), 30 mm (item no. 25912-030 in silver, 25912-032 in black) or (item no. 25912-050 in silver, 25912-052 in black) 50 mm. It can be attached in eight different directions. The so-called model-specific tank ring forms the solid basis for the secure, mechanical locking of the CLICK BAG tank bags. To attach the CLICK BAG, insert it from above into the two guides of the tank ring until the lock automatically locks. With a strap on the tank bag, the lock can be released with a single pull. This allows the tank bag to be removed quickly and easily, e.g. for refuelling. Facts Function Tank ring bracket for secure attachment of CLICK BAGs with a single click. CLICK BAGs can be attached easily, quickly and conveniently by placing the bag in the tank until the locking mechanism clicks into place.
