The engine guard structure is made of 25-millimeter precision steel tubing. The tube segments are shaped on CNC tube bending machines and then cleanly welded. The functional Edge-Design and structural integration of our aluminium, one-piece engine guard PURE offers comprehensive protection for the engine casing and oil pan. The frontally and laterally integrated ventilation openings assist in cooling the engine, especially when covering long distances on the motorway. Angled deflector plates deflect stone chips or foreign objects thrown up by the front wheel, significantly reducing the risk of engine damage. Another advantage of this engine guard is that it diverts splashing water, for example when crossing ruts, downwards and thus significantly reduces thermal stress on the engine casing and seals, particularly when the engine is hot. The elaborate, recessed fastening provides no attack surface and emphasises the Edge-Style to the fullest. The black powder-coated engine guard fits snugly around the engine, ensuring maximum ground and lean angle clearance. Openings ensure that collected water and spray can drain away freely. It is solidly and recessed mounted at four points, so no mounting elements protrude. It is a sensitive component that together with the ABS rim and ABS controller prevents the front wheel brake from being blocked and the rider from losing control of the motorcycle. It is an important safety component that must always be working and which must always be protected from mechanical damage e.g. caused by stones, branches or other foreign bodies. Our ABS sensor protection that integrates snugly into the recess that houses the radial brake caliper, that reliably covers the ABS sensor and protects it from damage.
