Due to the component geometry, the engine, its add-on parts as well as the radiator are perfectly and reliably protected. In addition to this comprehensive protection, we placed the utmost importance on ride height and lean angle during the development and construction. The two-part symmetric engine protection bar thus sits snugly and its specific structure also gives it additional stability and rigidity – and all while optimizing the weight of the component. The bars for left and right screw on to three selected attachment points. The torques and forces that arise during a crash or fall are thereby distributed across each of the three points on each side of the vehicle. This reduces peak loads caused by external forces. We recommend preventive protection of the sensitive fairing, because the danger of damaging it is already present when maneuvering in a garage or in public parking spaces. Our fairing protection bar reliably protects the fairing stem and the area around the headlight, thus reducing the risk of expensive damage. In the event of dropping the bike or falling over, the forces at play are optimally distributed via the protective bar structure to the load-bearing mounting points, so that force and momentum peaks are reduced. Visually, the fairing guard integrates perfectly into the bike’s fly line and emphasizes its striking appearance. The fairing guard is made of 25 millimeter precision steel tubing. It consists of two tube segments that are formed on CNC tube bending machines and then cleanly welded. Mounting is easy to accomplish. In combination with our engine protection bar, the headlight and radiator protection and other Adventure protection components, the fairing protection bar forms a well thought-out all-round concept to increase passive safety for your bike. For a long time, the use of hand guards was reserved exclusively for off-road machines. This is totally understandable, since they offer lots of advantages. Cold, clammy or wet hands are unpleasant, just like stone chips, road dirt of any kind or insects splatters at high speed. We provide a remedy with our hand protectors. You can’t get any more protection, but you should definitely have this level of protection. We have equipped our hand guards with a water-deflecting collar that extends outwards; it guides spray water outwards and lets it flow off the sides. Functionality aside, our hand guards are designed to be discreet and attractive. The hand guards are made of acrylic, are thermally stable, scratch and shatter-proof and resistant to petrol. They are quick and easy to mount. Remark: The instruments on a motorcycle can’t be safely operated with cold, clammy and wet hands and gloves. If your gloves are wet, the convection of the travel wind leeches even more heat. This can cause light cramps that prevent relaxed riding. A stone that flies up and/or short off-road stretches often mean that the original headlights are finished. Rigidly mounted headlight grills or the original protecting screen can only be used legally off-road tracks, and the headlight glass behind is difficult to clean. Our headlight protector protects the headlight in all circumstances and can simply be folded forwards when riding on the road or for cleaning purposes. The radiator is optimally positioned in the airstream generated during travel for optimum airflow to cool the engine. The exposed installation position also means that the delicate fins of the radiation network are also unprotected against stone strikes, foreign bodies and insects, however. The functional design and constructive integration of our EXTREME three-piece engine protection, made of aluminium, provides the comprehensive protection for the engine housing, the oil tank, parts of the manifolds, the catalytic converter, the sensitive coolant expansion tank and the exposed battery. The inserted stainless steel grille also protects the charging current regulator and ensures its cooling at the same time. The recessed screw connection underlines the adventure style in the best possible way. In the process, the black powder-coated engine protection hugs the engine so tightly while ensuring the greatest possible ground and lean clearance. The shape of this protection avoids unpleasant levering or jamming of the vehicle over terrain, no matter whether from branches, scree or rocks. Openings ensure that water picked up during river crossings can flow out freely again. The aluminium motor protection is corrosion-resistant and external forces and torques are distributed to the shock-absorbing mountings to reduce peak loads. Vibrations are effectively absorbed by the silent blocks. Typically Wunderlich, the team have made sure that you have good, unrestricted access during maintenance works: for example, an opening has been included for unhindered drainage of the engine oil. We were able to optimise the component weight and at the same time realise high component stiffness and mechanical stability.
