BMW R Nine T Ergonomics – “Active Comfort” seat: The lower part of this sporty seat follows the contour of the R nineT frame. The top contour is balanced and stylishly moulded, the cusp is ergonomically designed so that it provides optimum hold during sporty use, even when you hang off it. The cover is grippy and anti-slip. This makes the seat an integral component of the R nineT. The shell is made of high-strength ABS plastic and was created in our development department. In addition to high-quality materials and careful, professional craftsmanship, the focus here was on ergonomic factors. The same was true of the progressive two-layer construction with soft top layer and rigid core. This ensures the equal distribution of forces, relief for the coccyx and suitability for long distances. The 20 mm higher cut of the seat cushion eliminates one defect from the R nineT: it provides a noticeably more relaxed knee angle. Embroidered with the Wunderlich logo and the lettering ‘nineT’. BMW S 1000 XR Ergonomics – Wunderlich “Active Comfort” Seat: We also manufacture our reduced height seats with a characteristic, ergonomic 3D contour that lets riders and passengers become one with their BMW. The shape and angle of the carefully crafted, progressively structured, dual-layer seat core support the ergonomically beneficial, natural posture of the back. Integrated, riding is a relaxing affair and thus also active. And there’s no doubt that relaxed sitting adds a serious plus to passive safety. The integrated wind channel on the seat provides pleasant ventilation while you ride. Grippy cover material also increases the comfort factor. With the ThermoPro coating, the temperature of this seat in direct sun at the peak of summer is up to 25°C lower compared to standard, untreated cover materials. The same applies to all AKTIVKOMFORT seats: The “buckling” of the cushioning is reliably prevented via the sophisticated construction and the sitting pressure is equally distributed over a large area, resulting in noticeably lower specific pressure load to your behind. BMW S1000RR Seat – Active Sports The Active Comfort seat delivers improved seat comfort and a better hold during hang-offs, thanks to the non-slip upholstery in the region of the thighs. Upon decelerating, more force is transmitted into the seat, which provides relief for all your muscles. In addition to this standard height seat, the rider’s seat is also available with a (2 cm) higher cushion – which is especially ideal for taller riders. The passenger seat is also available with the same improvements in terms of the non slip covering material and striking styling. Other facts: Noticeable strain relief for the knee joints (+2 cm version). Strain relief for the coccyx (tailbone) and optimized weight distribution across the entire seat.
