We’ve designed our Vario EVO 1 footrest system with special consideration for all those who find the knee angle of the original GS too tight and uncomfortable over time. With the sophisticated Vario system, the footrests can be completely individually adjusted vertically and horizontally and lowered by 23-50 mm regardless of the adapter selected. This leads to a relaxed and comfortable knee angle. It should also be considered that contact with the brake pedal is always intuitive. The brake pedal and its spatial alignment to the footrest simply has to line up. So we definitely recommend our matching foot brake lever lowering kit for anyone using the variable system to lower the footrests in order to enlarge the knee angle. This is because lowering the footrest means the brake pedal is inevitably too high. Our foot brake lever lowing kit takes care of the necessary adjustment by lowering the foot brake lever too. To do this we use a stainless steel adapter that drops the foot pedal stop by approx. 12 mm. This restores the balance in the ergonomics between the foot rest and the brake lever. And this tiny measure increases passive safety. Revolutionary in terms of ergonomics, handling and exclusivity: We have developed brake and clutch levers that can be optimally adjusted in length and width to best serve your individual needs.Simply unfasten the lever locking screw, and adjust the length according to your personal requirements. With the XR, for example, you’ll want more precise dosing with less hand force, i.e. reduced length. The VarioLever also allows you to brake with just two or three fingers, without clenching the remaining fingers. This also applies to the clutch hand.Of course, it’s possible to brake with all four fingers again when the lever is fully extended. A further novelty is the width adjustability, which can now be adjusted while the vehicle is moving – a feature that is of considerable importance when there is an erratic pressure point (e.g. in racing or heavy-duty usage).This is achieved by means of a large pivoting mechanism, which is easy to use, even when wearing thick gloves. The original holder for the original Navigator on the handlebar clamps may be really practical but it’s a hindrance when a tank bag is used. The navigation device collides with the tank bag when steering and limits the steering angle and thus the turning radius. The makes manoeuvring uncomfortable, more demanding and longer than it has to be. The relatively low position forces the rider to lower their head if they want to read or operate the navigation. This position results in the eyes constantly having to focus between long-distance and close up. This strains the eyes and causes tiredness. The safety aspect shouldn’t be underestimated either, because the rider is forced to regularly take their eyes off the road. Our base holder helps here: it positions the navigation device in the natural line of sight for ergonomically optimal visibility and operability, making your ride more relaxed. This position is located above the TFT combi instrument. This ensures the rider always has their eyes on the road and an eye on the navigation at the same time. This arrangement has been tried and tested and provides noticeably greater comfort while riding, navigating and operating, meaning it avoids premature tiredness and increases safety in road traffic. The carrier simply attaches to the windshield bracket. The base holder can be individually positioned and is made of black powder-coated stainless steel. Brake Fluid Reservoir Holder : The dangling reservoir that comes with the F 800 R seems to be mounted in jelly. This is annoying and isn’t really in keeping with the solidity that the bike otherwise radiates. This protective cover kit fixes the reservoir in a vibrationdamping rubber mounting. Please note: after 22.000 kilometres there was no apparent negative impact on braking performance. Nor could we see any advantages from this mounting beyond a reduction in the risk of the reservoir shearing off in the event of a crash. However, BMW sees the original mounting as a technical requirement and will disclaim any liability. Only compatible with original pad. Complete fitting kit (easy conversion).
