TESTED IN RACING: WUNDERLICH AXLE PROTECTION PADS DOUBLESHOCK The axle protection pads ensure that the fork, wheel axle, and brake system are effectively protected from damage in the event of the motorcycle falling or crashing. The protection pads distance these components from the ground or road surface during point or abrasive contact, thus reducing or avoiding costly damage to the motorcycle. In addition to the choice of materials, we have constructively integrated two essential, specific properties tested in racing: damping and friction resistance, which progressively increases during the sliding phase. Damping: The first positive property is damping, which can absorb some or all of the impact energy during sudden force impacts. Friction Resistance: The second positive property is friction resistance, which increases from the outside inwards due to the enlargement of the effective sliding surface. This means that our axle protection pad offers low friction resistance during light contacts but significantly shortens the sliding phase in time and space during prolonged, abrasive road contact. In the event of a crash with the axle protection pad, the time and distance the motorcycle slides are reduced. For optimal protection of your machine, we recommend combining our axle protection pads with our vehicle-specific crash bar systems, for which we offer additional protection pads.

WUNDERLICH OIL COOLER GUARD – MAINTAINS COOLING PERFORMANCE AND PREVENTS OVERHEATING For an oil cooler to provide its optimal cooling performance, it must be optimally exposed to and passed through by the airflow. The function of the oil cooler is particularly important for maintaining a healthy thermal balance in the air-oil cooled engine. It is positioned in the airflow of the ride wind. However, this has a disadvantage: The oil cooler is exposed to whirled-up dirt, stones, and foreign objects that hit the delicate fins of the oil cooler. Over time, dirt and insects can clog the cooler network and reduce cooling performance just as much as fins bent by “stone chips”. In the worst case, sharp-edged foreign objects can cause damage that leads to leaks. With a damaged cooler, continuing to ride is no longer possible. Therefore, we recommend our oil protection mesh, which consists of a fine-meshed, tough and resistant stainless steel mesh to avoid damage and catch heavy contamination before it affects the oil cooler. It reliably protects the oil cooler without reducing airflow. Tip If you want to clean the cooler laboriously by hand, you must do so with extreme care to avoid damaging the cooler network. Accumulated flies, etc., can be easily removed with a damp cloth. Place the damp cloth on the mesh until the dirt is loosened by the moisture and can be wiped away easily and without residue.

A fall, slip, or scraping against a plastered wall while manoeuvring can easily cause mechanical damage up to and including grinding through the valve cover, or at the very least, cause annoying scratches. Since the valve covers are exclusively mounted with friction fit, there is a risk that the valve cover will shift relative to the cylinder head under any impact, potentially damaging the complex valve mechanism or mounting threads. Therefore, additional protection for the valve covers is of particular importance. We have developed a set of highly effective protectors. These are characterised by their precise fit, lying snugly against the valve cover with a minimal gap. This requires precise manufacturing. The protector is made of high-strength aluminium. Its protective stiffness results from its three-dimensionally bent shape and generous material thickness of 3 mm. On the inside, facing the valve cover, we have integrated segments made of a high-temperature resistant elastic material. These segments are dimensioned to absorb shocks with respect to their Shore hardness*). Their supportive and protective effect ensures that external forces are evenly absorbed by the segments and distributed over three solid mounting points per protector, preventing force peaks. The high-quality design and function of the protectors are complemented by a 12 mm thick integrated grinding pad. Cruise Control – Black : The inexpensive and practical alternative to electronic speed regulation. Relaxed long distance tours are now possible and don’t involve pain in the wrist. The user friendly adjustment mechanism (simply rotate the adjustment wheel forwards) makes a continuous and individual locking of the gas handle possible. The adjuster can be set so that the twist grip either slowly rolls back or remains at a fixed position.The speed can be precisely set for long riding stints. When not in use the CruiseControl is not noticed and the throttle returns to normal function. The entire adjustment mechanism is housed in the right handlebar end weight. By turning the adjustment wheel the CruiseControl applies pressure onto the twist grip. With the aluminium kit you can also add a shine to your vehicle’s appearance and save a lot of weight as well. We replace the structure of the original seat with our own intensively developed foam core with an overhauled contour and innovative gel insert. In the process, we’ve kept both the original seat shell as well as the original seat heating. Our years of experience have once again paid off in the development of this crash bar : for the first time, we’ve succeeded in constructing a perfectly shaped crash bar that perfectly protects the valve cover (even in serious crashes) and terminates at the bottom in an underbody guard , which also serves as the solid base mount for the crash bar . The underbody guard is secured at six points and protects not only the oil pan but also the exposed oil filter. All anchor points are designed to withstand tensile and compressive loads. The leverage forces are distributed across all anchor points in the event of a fall. The center bracket ensures even distribution and acts as a pivot point, ensuring that all other suspension points are equally involved in absorbing the forces in the event of a fall. The R 1200 RT LC crash bar thus has a total of six anchor points! We consider this a particularly successful design, which, with its considerable structural effort, reliably protects the R 1200 RT LC from damage. The bars are not perceived as foreign objects, integrate perfectly, and also transform the R 1200 RT LC into a stylistic touring bike.
