Attaching them to the carrier is uncomplicated thanks to the quick-release system. They are completely dust and waterproof due to their special sealing system. The longevity of our luggage system “EXTREME” is ensured by the consistent use of exclusively high-quality materials. This includes the processed 1.5 mm aluminum sheet with stabilizing ridges (weight-optimized yet robust), stainless steel fittings, replaceable all-around protection on all corners, and protective caps for the locks. Thanks to the additional lashing eyes on the cover, additional luggage, such as our Rack Pack bags, can be securely strapped on. The suitcase covers are equipped as standard with practical luggage nets on the inside, for everything that needs to be immediately accessible on the go: rain gear, tools, or the first aid kit. After opening both front and rear hinge locks, the cover can be completely removed, and the suitcases can be conveniently loaded from the top. If only one of the two locks is opened, the second lock serves as a hinge. This allows the cover to be positioned either forward or backward as desired and is held in place by a retention cord. In the black powder-coated version, the high-quality suitcase appears equally technical and elegant.

This luggage carrier is the easily accessible and flexible, useful solution for all BMW R 18 riders who want to store bags or other travel luggage in a cruising-friendly and safe way while on the road alone. Its full potential is revealed in combination with our side and saddle bags – or those from BMW – and it stores additional luggage. The clear basic design of the luggage rack builds on that of our highly popular tank railing so that both carrier systems not only noticeably increase the capacity for transporting bags or luggage, but also perfectly enhance each other stylistically. An additional advantage: The helpful placement in relation to the centre of gravity supports the wonderfully generous, neutral riding style of the BMW R 18. We manufacture the luggage carrier using 18 mm thick, chrome-plated precision steel piping. The same mounting points used to affix the passenger seat form a solid base for attachment. Naturally, the semi-circular, rear chrome trim is retained.
